This is a dark tale featuring Harry Hole, the alcoholic ex policeman on a quest to prove the innocence of his ex loves son Oleg. Exploring the underworld of drug addicts and addiction it is full of tension, unexpected twists and at times gruesome images and an underlying feeling of sadness.
