April 4th

A trip to London, transports of delight
involving bus,train ,boat and cable car
We saw the timeline,an historic sight
hot chocolate with cream at nearby bar

then views across the river from up high
then down again and lunch inside the dome
more views as on the river we sped by
then back to Waterloo for the train home

A group of us in Bushy Park did walk
In twos and threes engaged in chatty talk
Two groups of deer were basking in the grass
unfazed by all the people walking past.
Ducks with their babies slowly floated by
while heron stood alone against the sky

April 1st
 Just seen on fifteen minutes of fiction about the Na Po Wri Mo challenge to write a poem a day for 30 days. Its now 10p.m so my first will be short and all will be unofficial as I don't feel confident to post on the official site.

A day out with friends on a bright Spring day
Cider and curry ,laughter and chatter
coffee in the garden,soaking up rays
Happily full, perhaps a bit fatter !

Men's scarves

My last three knitting projects have been garter rib scarves using Caron free Mens interchangeable scarves pattern. I used Patons Colour works Aran for these two. A quick and easy pattern to knit.

19. Adventure

A time to die by Wilbur Smith

Published in 1989 and set in Africa. His love of this continent is reflected in this book. Fast paced and exciting, once started I couldn't put it down.
