At the start of this book, I had to read in small chunks, such was the intensity of negative emotion in the stultifying atmosphere of academia. This was well worth persevering . A beautifully written and very dark tale of hidden desires, and the fine lines between love and hate , repression and expression.
A brilliantly perceptive chronicle of how much is thought and felt , but impossible to express and the negative and destructive consequences .
