The Calligrapher's daughter by Eugenia Kim

My daughter went through a stage when she was younger when she was obsessed with Korean pop, boy bands and drama series ,some of which I watched with her. This book is set in Japanese occupied Korea and spans 30 years in the life of Najin Han.The culture, the hardship and the engrossing story and characters and the lyrical style make this book one to read.I loved it.
