31 poems

Our house stands silent, shrouded in grey stone
the children all have left now fully grown
you too are gone ,I'm feeling so alone

The house and I, we two both stand alone
my heart feels grey, encased, unyielding stone
tendrils of ivy through the cracks have grown

Forget me nots in blue profusion grown
adorning garden, single rose alone
reminders that new growth can soften stone

alone in stone, new pathways can be grown
